Hatha yoga includes postures and breathing techniques to help improve your strength, balance, and coordination. We can focus on areas like bone and muscle strength, joint flexibility, and heart health.

Yoga Nidra is yogic sleep and can help tame your emotions, calm your mind, and help with physical concerns.  Clients often say they sleep better, their pain lessens, and inner peace is felt.

♥ Meditation and Guided Imagery

Meditation lessons can cover a wide range of topics for anyone who wants to get started or deepen their meditation practice. It’s helpful to develop a meditation method that suits your temperament, whether it’s mindfulness, walking meditation, mantra repetition, or another.

Guided Imagery, also called creative visualization, is intentional daydreaming that magnifies the positive aspects of the mind-body connection.  It can elicit therapeutic relaxation; awaken and activate the natural ability for self-healing to occur; help with changing behaviors and habits; and stimulate intuition and uncover your inner truth and life direction.  Everyone can do it.

♥  Music Lessons

Learn to play the Native American flute!  Lessons will get you off on a good note.  We will focus on whatever you like.  We can cover the basics, embellishments, and how to improvise or learn songs.  We will follow your interests from there by delving deeper into flute playing.

We can also get you started playing the Reverie harp, tuning forks, tongue drums, and singing bowls.

♥  Sound Bath Concerts

Do you yearn for the benefits of meditation but have trouble meditating? A sound bath may be perfect for you.  Carefully selected instruments and frequencies are selected to help harmonize your wellbeing.  It is delightfully relaxing and can tap into your natural healing abilities.

You’ll experience a play of enchanting sounds from flutes, Himalayan singing bowls, harp, chimes, bells, drums, voice, and harmonium.  During a sound bath you’ll experience a musical blend of harmonizing tones to tune you up. You’ll feel the pleasure of letting your heart sing & dance.

Sound baths are offered individually and for groups.  They take place in-person and on Zoom (with a downloadable video to have for keeps).  Click to make contact.


♥  Coaching / Mentoring

Everyone has something they hope to ‘do someday,’ but have a hard time taking the necessary steps. Coaching will help.

Most of us are stymied by stress and would love to learn effective methods to renew our energy. Coaching will help.

For most, it is hard to make time to develop a practical plan and to put it into action. Others can keep to their plan, but only for a while, and then they slip back into old habits. Having information and support from someone else often makes all the difference.

Coaching is perfect if you are ready to:

SoulCollage® is a fun process of making small collages from pictures and images that catch your eye. It boosts creativity, intuition, and self-discovery using a special and unique process to nurture your well-being. It’s different than typical collages, scrap-booking or vision boarding. It’s a special way to give expression to your inner voice by making collages and through conversation. Register now to find out for yourself.  

No artistic talent is needed – cutting and pasting is all that’s required. New and experienced folks are welcome.  Scroll down to pre-register.

SoulCollage easily becomes very empowering due to combining the proven process with the special supplies used. A personal deck of cards are made one at a time to weave parts of yourself into wholeness.  You’ll learn to consult your cards using a simple, yet elegant, process for gaining insights, answering questions, and getting more meaning from life.

5″x8” mat boards and special see-through sleeves are used.  To spark your creative imagination and intuition, it’s customary to use pictures with no words on them. Precut images are supplied from a variety of sources. Your own photographs and images can be added. Participants typically make from 1 to 6 cards during a session.

  • You use your own supplies for Zoom workshops. ♥ BUY supplies here if needed.
  • All materials are supplied during in-person workshops – even snacks.

Yoga quotes and sayings by BKS Iyengar

BKS Iyengar, an amazing person and yogi left his body on Aug. 20, 2014 at the age of 95.  He will be missed worldwide for his teachings, wisdom, and the joy he shared.

According to information on the B.K.S. Iyengar page, he was born in India in 1918 and taught yoga since of the age of 17.  He has been one of the world’s leading teachers of yoga for over 70 years. His own style of teaching is called “Iyengar Yoga” and it places great emphasis on precision and alignment.  We can thank Mr. Iyengar for introducing yoga props.  Through his work, Iyengar has established the relevance of yoga to the treatment and cure of many illnesses, and has received a Doctorate from the United Nations Charter for Peace.

Lucky for us, his legacy will live on through the many teachers he trained and through his many books. Here are a few yoga quotes and sayings from some of his books including, Light on Yoga, Light on Life, and others.

 

“I always tell people to life happily and die majestically.”

“Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one’s being, from bodily health to self-realization.
