Karma Yoga Service Project Successful

For the third year in a row, our karma yoga service project has been a success.  For every dollar donated, Julie made up the difference to purchase CDs for distribution to worthy people and organizations.  Julie's yoga students and friends were delighted to help with this worthy cause.

In 2007, the Power of Presence CD is being featured.  We will be giving away 1100 CDs!  As an alumni of Virginia Tech, hundreds of copies will be distributed on campus to faculty, staff and students.  In addition, free CDs will be given to the Wellness Community, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Mary Maguire Foundation, and more.

In 2006, over 1000 cancer patients have received a free copy of Wholesome Relaxation, a CD featuring guided relaxation, imagery and affirmations by Julie Lusk, E-RYT and author of Yoga Meditations: Timeless Mind-Body Practices.  through the American Cancer Association, Wellness Community, Cancer Family Care, Mary Maguire Foundation, and others.

In 2005, over 1000 CDs were donated to heart patients.  Most were given out at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to people undergoing open heart surgery.
