Finding
healthy ways to recharge oneself and prevent burnout is an
important stress management skill to develop. Today’s demanding work
environment, coupled with a busy home life, can result in
unwanted stress and burnout.
Burnout is defined as
“to fail, wear out, or become exhausted due to excessive demands
on one’s strength, resources, and energy.” Burnout takes its
toll physically, emotionally, and mentally. This is bad for employees and costly to employers.
